Scottish Bred Wool - Farm to Yarn map

£0.00

The purpose of this Scottish Bred Wool map is to raise awareness of how much is happening with Scottish Wool. Use it as you like! Share it widely!*

This is a free download of the Scottish Bred Wool Map. It downloads as an A4 size PDF but you should be able to print it bigger. I am looking into having an A3 version available for sale which will also be available here.

*Please note that although free of charge, you will still need to add the map to your basket and checkout as normal*

The idea of a map came from preparations into a meeting with the Scottish Government about textiles… from that I learnt that there is no representation (that I know of yet) for Scottish wool as it isn’t at the table with textiles or agriculture bodies. BUT there are lots of individuals doing wonderful things.

This map is the result of my (Susan’s) research, with lots of input from the textile community, into Scottish farms and crofts that are adding value to their fleeces (from sheep, alpacas and goats) by turning it into products. It will continue to grow as I find out more - new versions will be made available here and on my Patreon page.

*I only ask that if you want to use it for anything other than personal purposes to let me know - and think about supporting this aspect of my work via my Patreon link: patreon.com/TheJournalofScottishYarns
